THE STORY BEHIND THE PAPER

Every sheet has a story.

Beautiful things don't always begin with beautiful materials.

At Again Again by Hannah, the paper I make begins with something that might otherwise be thrown away. I collect waste paper from local organisations and give it another life, transforming discarded scraps into handmade paper, notebooks and stationery.

My current paper comes from local community organisations, including PHX Training and Drop Zone Youth Project in Barrow-in-Furness. By reusing what already exists, I'm creating something new while helping rethink what we consider waste.

Each sheet is made by hand, with its own texture, character and imperfections. No two are quite the same — and that's part of the beauty.

Paper, Notebooks, Art.

Made from scratch.

Made for putting pen to paper, capturing passing thoughts, sketching new ideas and creating something entirely your own. From handmade paper for writing, drawing, collage and printmaking to hand-bound notebooks for notes, lists, plans and everyday musings, each piece is an invitation to slow down, explore your creativity and make space for the things that matter.

Materials, close up

Paper, made by hand.

I make the paper by hand, from soaking and pulping to pulling each sheet from the vat. Some sheets have visible fibres, some have deckled edges and some come out completely unlike the one before.

Every sheet comes out a little differently — in colour, fibres, texture and edges.
